  • If you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him." - Luke 11:13


  • "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets and stones God's messengers! How often I have wanted to gather your children together as a hen protects her chicks beneath her wings, but you wouldn't let me. - Luke 13:34


  • "If you want to be my follower you must love me more than* your own father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters--yes, more than your own life. Otherwise, you cannot be my disciple.3 - Luke 14:26


  • One day some parents brought their little children to Jesus so he could touch them and bless them, but the disciples told them not to bother him. - Luke 18:15


  • Then Jesus called for the children and said to the disciples, "Let the children come to me. Don't stop them! For the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these. - Luke 18:16


  • "Yes," Jesus replied, "and I assure you, everyone who has given up house or wife or brothers or parents or children, for the sake of the Kingdom of God, - Luke 18:29


  • They will crush you to the ground, and your children with you. Your enemies will not leave a single stone in place, because you have rejected the opportunity God offered you." - Luke 19:44


  • They posed this question: "Teacher, Moses gave us a law that if a man dies, leaving a wife but no children, his brother should marry the widow and have a child who will be the brother's heir.*4 - Luke 20:28


  • Well, there were seven brothers. The oldest married and then died without children. - Luke 20:29


  • His brother married the widow, but he also died. Still no children. - Luke 20:30


  • And so it went, one after the other, until each of the seven had married her and died, leaving no children. - Luke 20:31
