  • For I will give you abundant water to quench your thirst and to moisten your parched fields. And I will pour out my Spirit and my blessings on your children. - Isaiah 44:3


  • "You are a pleasure-crazy kingdom, living at ease and feeling secure, bragging as if you were the greatest in the world! You say, `I'm self-sufficient and not accountable to anyone! I will never be a widow or lose my children.' - Isaiah 47:8


  • Well, those two things will come upon you in a moment: widowhood and the loss of your children. Yes, these calamities will come upon you, despite all your witchcraft and magic. - Isaiah 47:9


  • Look and see, for all your children will come back to you. As surely as I live," says the LORD, "they will be like jewels or bridal ornaments for you to display. - Isaiah 49:18


  • Then you will think to yourself, `Who has given me all these descendants? For most of my children were killed, and the rest were carried away into exile. I was left here all alone. Who bore these children? Who raised them for me?' " - Isaiah 49:21


  • But the LORD says, "The captives of warriors will be released, and the plunder of tyrants will be retrieved. For I will fight those who fight you, and I will save your children. - Isaiah 49:25


  • Not one of your children is left alive to help you or tell you what to do. - Isaiah 51:18


  • For your children have fainted and lie in the streets, helpless as antelopes caught in a net. The LORD has poured out his fury; God has rebuked them. - Isaiah 51:20


  • But it was the LORD's good plan to crush him and fill him with grief. Yet when his life is made an offering for sin, he will have a multitude of children, many heirs. He will enjoy a long life, and the LORD's plan will prosper in his hands. - Isaiah 53:10


  • "Sing, O childless woman! Break forth into loud and joyful song, O Jerusalem, even though you never gave birth to a child. For the woman who could bear no children now has more than all the other women," says the LORD. - Isaiah 54:1


  • "But you--come here, you witches' children, you offspring of adulterers and prostitutes! - Isaiah 57:3


  • Whom do you mock, making faces and sticking out your tongues? You children of sinners and liars! - Isaiah 57:4


  • You worship your idols with great passion beneath every green tree. You slaughter your children as human sacrifices down in the valleys, under overhanging rocks. - Isaiah 57:5


  • Your children will rebuild the deserted ruins of your cities. Then you will be known as the people who rebuild their walls and cities. - Isaiah 58:12


  • And this is my covenant with them," says the LORD. "My Spirit will not leave them, and neither will these words I have given you. They will be on your lips and on the lips of your children and your children's children forever. I, the LORD, have spoken! - Isaiah 59:21


  • "The children of your tormentors will come and bow before you. Those who despised you will kiss your feet. They will call you the City of the LORD, and Zion of the Holy One of Israel. - Isaiah 60:14


  • Your children will care for you with joy, O Jerusalem, just as a young man cares for his bride. Then God will rejoice over you as a bridegroom rejoices over his bride. - Isaiah 62:5
