  • Their children skip about like lambs in a flock of sheep. - Job 21:11

  • " `Well,' you say, `at least God will punish their children!' But I say that God should punish the ones who sin, not their children! Let them feel their own penalty. - Job 21:19

  • Like the wild donkeys in the desert, the poor must spend all their time just getting enough to keep body and soul together. They go into the desert to search for food for their children. - Job 24:5

  • Job lived 140 years after that, living to see four generations of his children and grandchildren. - Job 42:16

  • You have taught children and nursing infants to give you praise.* They silence your enemies who were seeking revenge.2 - Psalms 8:2

  • The godly always give generous loans to others, and their children are a blessing. - Psalms 37:26

  • For the LORD loves justice, and he will never abandon the godly. He will keep them safe forever, but the children of the wicked will perish. - Psalms 37:28

  • Help him to defend the poor, to rescue the children of the needy, and to crush their oppressors. - Psalms 72:4

  • We will not hide these truths from our children but will tell the next generation about the glorious deeds of the LORD. We will tell of his power and the mighty miracles he did. - Psalms 78:4

  • For he issued his decree to Jacob; he gave his law to Israel. He commanded our ancestors to teach them to their children, - Psalms 78:5

  • so the next generation might know them-- even the children not yet born-- that they in turn might teach their children. - Psalms 78:6
