  • I command you in the name of the Lord to read this letter to all the brothers and sisters. - 1 Thessalonians 5:27


  • Dear brothers and sisters,* we always thank God for you, as is right, for we are thankful that your faith is flourishing and you are all growing in love for each other.2 - 2 Thessalonians 1:3


  • And now, brothers and sisters,* let us tell you about the coming again of our Lord Jesus Christ and how we will be gathered together to meet him.1 - 2 Thessalonians 2:1


  • As for us, we always thank God for you, dear brothers and sisters loved by the Lord. We are thankful that God chose you to be among the first* to experience salvation, a salvation that came through the Spirit who makes you holy and by your belief in the truth.3 - 2 Thessalonians 2:13


  • With all these things in mind, dear brothers and sisters, stand firm and keep a strong grip on everything we taught you both in person and by letter. - 2 Thessalonians 2:15


  • Finally, dear brothers and sisters,* I ask you to pray for us. Pray first that the Lord's message will spread rapidly and be honored wherever it goes, just as when it came to you.1 - 2 Thessalonians 3:1


  • And now, dear brothers and sisters, we give you this command with the authority of our Lord Jesus Christ: Stay away from any Christian* who lives in idleness and doesn't follow the tradition of hard work we gave you.3 - 2 Thessalonians 3:6


  • And I say to the rest of you, dear brothers and sisters, never get tired of doing good. - 2 Thessalonians 3:13


  • If you explain this to the brothers and sisters,* you will be doing your duty as a worthy servant of Christ Jesus, one who is fed by the message of faith and the true teaching you have followed.2 - 1 Timothy 4:6


  • Never speak harshly to an older man,* but appeal to him respectfully as though he were your own father. Talk to the younger men as you would to your own brothers.1 - 1 Timothy 5:1


  • Hurry so you can get here before winter. Eubulus sends you greetings, and so do Pudens, Linus, Claudia, and all the brothers and sisters.*3 - 2 Timothy 4:21


  • This letter is from Paul, in prison for preaching the Good News about Christ Jesus, and from our brother Timothy. It is written to Philemon, our much loved co-worker, - Philemon 1:1


  • I myself have gained much joy and comfort from your love, my brother, because your kindness has so often refreshed the hearts of God's people. - Philemon 1:7


  • He is no longer just a slave; he is a beloved brother, especially to me. Now he will mean much more to you, both as a slave and as a brother in the Lord. - Philemon 1:16


  • Yes, dear brother, please do me this favor for the Lord's sake. Give me this encouragement in Christ. - Philemon 1:20


  • So now Jesus and the ones he makes holy have the same Father. That is why Jesus is not ashamed to call them his brothers and sisters.*5 - Hebrews 2:11


  • For he said to God, "I will declare the wonder of your name to my brothers and sisters.* I will praise you among all your people."6 - Hebrews 2:12
