  • took palm branches and went down the road to meet him. They shouted, "Praise God!* Bless the one who comes in the name of the Lord! Hail to the King of Israel!"*4 - John 12:13


  • He cuts off every branch that doesn't produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more. - John 15:2


  • Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful apart from me. - John 15:4


  • "Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing. - John 15:5

  • But some of these branches from Abraham's tree, some of the Jews, have been broken off. And you Gentiles, who were branches from a wild olive tree, were grafted in.   • But you must be careful not to brag about being grafted in to replace the branches that were broken off. Remember, you are just a branch, not the root. - Romans 11:18


  • "Well," you may say, "those branches were broken off to make room for me." - Romans 11:19


  • Yes, but remember--those branches, the Jews, were broken off because they didn't believe God, and you are there because you do believe. Don't think highly of yourself, but fear what could happen. - Romans 11:20


  • For if God did not spare the branches he put there in the first place, he won't spare you either. - Romans 11:21


  • For if God was willing to take you who were, by nature, branches from a wild olive tree and graft you into his own good tree--a very unusual thing to do--he will be far more eager to graft the Jews back into the tree where they belong. - Romans 11:24
