(Read Armies Part 1 First)

  • Now my people, dress yourselves in sackcloth, and sit among the ashes. Mourn and weep bitterly, as for the loss of an only son. For suddenly, the destroying armies will be upon you! - Jeremiah 6:26

  • Listen! Hear the terrifying roar of great armies as they roll down from the north. The towns of Judah will be destroyed and will become a haunt for jackals. - Jeremiah 10:22

  • Destroying armies plunder the land. The sword of the LORD kills people from one end of the nation to the other. No one will escape! - Jeremiah 12:12

  • See the armies marching down from the north! Where is your flock--your beautiful flock--that he gave you to care for? - Jeremiah 13:20

  • You may ask yourself, "Why is all this happening to me?" It is because of your many sins! That is why you have been raped and destroyed by invading armies. - Jeremiah 13:22

  • "Please ask the LORD to help us. King Nebuchadnezzar* of Babylon has begun his attack on Judah. Perhaps the LORD will be gracious and do a mighty miracle as he has done in the past. Perhaps he will force Nebuchadnezzar to withdraw his armies."1 - Jeremiah 21:2

  • I will gather together all the armies of the north under King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon, whom I have appointed as my deputy. I will bring them all against this land and its people and against the other nations near you. I will completely destroy* you and make you an object of horror and contempt and a ruin forever.3 - Jeremiah 25:9

  • King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon came with all the armies from the kingdoms he ruled, and he fought against Jerusalem and the towns of Judah. At that time this message came to Jeremiah from the LORD: - Jeremiah 34:1

  • I will call the Babylonian armies back again. They will fight against this city and will capture and burn it. I will see to it that all the towns of Judah are destroyed and left completely empty." - Jeremiah 34:22

  • But when King Nebuchadnezzar* of Babylon arrived in this country, we were afraid of the Babylonian* and Aramean armies. So we decided to move to Jerusalem. That is why we are here."2 - Jeremiah 35:11

  • With you I will shatter armies, destroying the horse and rider, the chariot and charioteer. - Jeremiah 51:21

  • Signal many nations to mobilize for war against Babylon. Sound the battle cry! Bring out the armies of Ararat, Minni, and Ashkenaz. Appoint a leader, and bring a multitude of horses! - Jeremiah 51:27

  • Bring against her the armies of the kings of the Medes and their generals, and the armies of all the countries they rule. - Jeremiah 51:28

  • The heavens and earth will rejoice, for out of the north will come destroying armies against Babylon," says the LORD. - Jeremiah 51:48

  • Destroying armies come against Babylon. Her mighty men are captured, and their weapons break in their hands. For the LORD is a God who gives just punishment, and he is giving Babylon all she deserves. - Jeremiah 51:56

  • "Or suppose I were to bring war against the land, and I told enemy armies to come and destroy everything. - Ezekiel 14:17
