(Read Angel Part 1 First)

  • This shows that God's Son is far greater than the angels, just as the name God gave him is far greater than their names. - Philemon 1:4

  • For God never said to any angel what he said to Jesus: "You are my Son. Today I have become your Father.*" And again God said, "I will be his Father, and he will be my Son."*2 - Philemon 1:5

  • And then, when he presented his honored* Son to the world, God said, "Let all the angels of God worship him."*1 - Philemon 1:6

  • God calls his angels "messengers swift as the wind, and servants made of flaming fire."*2 - Philemon 1:7

  • And God never said to an angel, as he did to his Son, "Sit in honor at my right hand until I humble your enemies, making them a footstool under your feet."*8 - Philemon 1:13

  • But angels are only servants. They are spirits sent from God to care for those who will receive salvation. - Philemon 1:14

  • The message God delivered through angels has always proved true, and the people were punished for every violation of the law and every act of disobedience. - Hebrews 2:2

  • And furthermore, the future world we are talking about will not be controlled by angels. - Hebrews 2:5

  • For a little while you made him lower than the angels, and you crowned him with glory and honor.*3 - Hebrews 2:7

  • What we do see is Jesus, who "for a little while was made lower than the angels" and now is "crowned with glory and honor" because he suffered death for us. Yes, by God's grace, Jesus tasted death for everyone in all the world. - Hebrews 2:9

  • We all know that Jesus came to help the descendants of Abraham, not to help the angels. - Hebrews 2:16

  • It was by faith that Moses commanded the people of Israel to keep the Passover and to sprinkle blood on the doorposts so that the angel of death would not kill their firstborn sons. - Hebrews 11:28

  • No, you have come to Mount Zion, to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to thousands of angels in joyful assembly. - Hebrews 12:22

  • Don't forget to show hospitality to strangers, for some who have done this have entertained angels without realizing it! - Hebrews 13:2

  • They were told that these things would not happen during their lifetime, but many years later, during yours. And now this Good News has been announced by those who preached to you in the power of the Holy Spirit sent from heaven. It is all so wonderful that even the angels are eagerly watching these things happen. - 1 Peter 1:12

  • Now Christ has gone to heaven. He is seated in the place of honor next to God, and all the angels and authorities and powers are bowing before him. - 1 Peter 3:22

  • For God did not spare even the angels when they sinned; he threw them into hell,* in gloomy caves* and darkness until the judgment day.1 - 2 Peter 2:4
