• Othniel, the son of Caleb's brother Kenaz, was the one who conquered it, so Acsah became Othniel's wife. - Joshua 15:17

• The Spirit of the LORD came upon him, and he became Israel's judge. He went to war against King Cushan-rishathaim of Aram, and the LORD gave Othniel victory over him. - Judges 3:10



• So there was peace in the land for forty years. Then Othniel son of Kenaz died. - Judges 3:11



• The sons of Kenaz were Othniel and Seraiah. Othniel's sons were Hathath and Meonothai.*4 - 1 Chronicles 4:13



• Heled,* a descendant of Othniel from Netophah, was commander of the twelfth division, which was on duty during the twelfth month. There were twenty-four thousand troops in his division.2 - 1 Chronicles 27:15
