(Read Jehoahaz Part 1 First)
After consulting with his advisers, King Amaziah of Judah sent this challenge to Israel's king Jehoash,* the son of Jehoahaz and grandson of Jehu: "Come and meet me in battle!"4 - 2 Chronicles 25:17
Then the people of the land took Josiah's son Jehoahaz and made him the next king in Jerusalem. - 2 Chronicles 36:1
Jehoahaz* was twenty-three years old when he became king, but he reigned only three months.1 - 2 Chronicles 36:2
The king of Egypt appointed Eliakim, the brother of Jehoahaz, as the next king of Judah and Jerusalem, and he changed Eliakim's name to Jehoiakim. Then Neco took Jehoahaz to Egypt as a prisoner. - 2 Chronicles 36:4
For this is what the LORD says about Jehoahaz,* who succeeded his father, King Josiah, and was taken away as a captive: "He will never return.1 - Jeremiah 22:11
